Who We Work With

A Creative Partner for Every Industry in Central Minnesota

Every organization we work with in Central Minnesota has a story worth telling, whether that business runs a hospital floor, a sanctuary, a dealership lot, a factory line, or a gallery wall. We've built Switchboard around that belief instead of around a single industry, which means our creative process bends to fit the client rather than the other way around. Marketing directors who land in our studio usually manage small teams with big goals, and they need a partner who can move from strategy to execution without losing the thread of what makes their organization matter. That's where our in-studio brand strategy workshop comes in, since it gives every client a clear Brandscript before a single camera rolls or a single line of code gets written.

Healthcare

Hospitals and clinics carry a weight that other businesses don't, since patients and families are placing trust in them at some of the hardest moments of their lives. Our work with CentraCare taught us how much that trust depends on communication that feels calm, clear, and human rather than clinical. Healthcare marketing directors in St. Cloud and Sartell face the challenge of explaining complex services without losing the personal connection that makes a patient choose one provider over another. We help translate that complexity into photography, video, and messaging that respects both the science and the person on the other end of it.

Faith-Based Organizations

Churches and faith-based organizations often need to communicate mission and doctrine at the same time, which is a harder balance than most outside ministry realize. River City Church brought us into that challenge, and the project reminded us that a church's brand isn't a logo, it's the feeling a visitor gets walking through the door for the first time. Congregations in Sauk Rapids and Waite Park are growing fast, and pastors and staff are often stretched thin trying to keep messaging consistent across a website, a Sunday bulletin, and every social post in between. We build that consistency into a system so ministry leaders can spend their time on people instead of graphic design.

Automotive

Car dealerships live and die by trust, since a buyer is handing over a significant amount of money based largely on how a lot feels and how a team treats them. Harry Browns partnered with us to sharpen that first impression, and the project became one of our favorite examples of what happens when photography, video, and brand voice work together instead of getting handled by three different vendors. Dealerships around Monticello and Elk River compete for the same drivers, so a consistent, well-told brand story becomes a real advantage rather than a nice extra. We treat every vehicle lot the same way we treat a hospital or a church, as a place with a story that deserves to be told honestly.

Manufacturing & Industrial

Manufacturers rarely think of themselves as a brand, since the work happens on a factory floor rather than in front of a camera, but the companies that tell their story well end up winning better talent and better clients. Sportech gave us the chance to prove that industrial work can be shot and written about with the same craft as any lifestyle brand, turning welding sparks and assembly lines into imagery that actually shows what the company does best. Industrial employers around Little Falls and Brainerd are competing hard for skilled workers right now, and a clear brand story helps a recruiting page or a careers video do more of that work. We approach a manufacturing floor the same way we approach any set, looking for the moment that shows the pride behind the process.

Arts, Culture & Nonprofits

Museums, galleries, and nonprofits often carry missions bigger than their marketing budgets, which makes clear storytelling even more important than it is for a typical business. Our project with the Great River Children's Museum let us build a brand experience for a place built entirely around wonder and hands-on learning, while our work with Tupa Art gave a local gallery a visual identity as bold as the art on its walls. Nonprofit boards and arts organizations across Central Minnesota often lean on volunteers and small staff to handle marketing, and we try to make that job lighter rather than harder. Story is usually the one resource these organizations have in abundance, even when budget and staff time are tight, and that's exactly the kind of raw material we're built to work with.

One Process, Every Industry

Every industry we've mentioned shares one thing in common, which is a story that gets lost if nobody takes the time to shape it well. New industries walk through our studio doors every year that don't fit neatly into a single category, and we've found that our process works the same way whether a client is based in St. Cloud or running a growing operation out of Elk River. A hospital, a church, a dealership, a factory, and a museum all need the same basic thing: a message people remember and trust. Organizations in Brainerd and Waite Park bring us the same range of goals we see anywhere else in Central Minnesota, and we'd rather build that message with you than guess at it, no matter which industry or city brought you to Switchboard.
